Dýrfinna in Ráðhús Reykjavíkur

Dýrfinna took part in an exhibition held by Handverk & Hönnun in Ráðhús Reykjavíkur the weekend 12.-14th of october. Many visitors came to the show this particular weekend, where introduction to many kinds of art and design took place. It is estimated that 10000-15000 people visited, but 57 participants took part in the exhibition. Dýrfinna was busy elsewhere this particular weekend, so Sigrún Sigurjónsdóttir, Dýrfinna´s student, took care of her part of the show. Sigrún is also fully educated as a jewellery designer (did her studies in Italy). Following is a link to the web of Handverk & Hönnun, where you can see plenty of images taken this weekend.

German student

In october a German goldsmith student on 2nd year in the goldsmith school in Arnstadt was spending some time with Dýrfinna & Finnur in Akranes. The girl´s name is Kati Mnich and she originates from Rostock, and she celebrated her 20th birthday on the 5th of october, during her time here in Akranes. A part of her studies is a three weeks education with a master goldsmith, and she chose Iceland just out of a curiousity, but she found Dýrfinna through surfing the internet. Kati has gone
back to her home, back to school, and has
gained some experience from her stay in Iceland.
